WE-Women for Expo is an Expo Milan 2015 initiative produced in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori Foundation.
The goal of WE – Women for Expo is to reach and involve the largest possible number of women in the project, by inviting them to express themselves through food, from agriculture to gastronomy, sharing their thoughts on the future of nutrition, nurturing new reflections on the subject of sustainability, and reflecting on the best and most virtuous practices.
The project hopes to (through their recipes, their stories, their creative expressions) create a network of women from all around the world, and from today until May 1, 2015, the WE-Women for Expo network will be built!
Future Concept Lab, who developed the concept, identifying the main project themes and arguments, strongly believes in this initiative.
Many women from countries around the world have already joined the project, sharing their ideas, secrets, stories, emotions, and “recipes of life” for the future. Expo Milan 2015 will thrive from the richness of this female insight.

The research and consultancy performed by Future Concept Lab since 2012 for Moleskine was carried out using the tools provided by our Lab approach. The project was structured in various stages, methodologically diverse, yet closely related to each other.
The project led to the identification of strategic indications for planning the future steps of the company, at a time of great evolution with regards to its products, communication and retail expansion.
The Lab was carried out in four distinct phases, which enabled Future Concept Lab to analyze in-depth the main phenomena related to consumer usage of Moleskine products, and to decipher the current brand values, by incorporating them with the Paradigms of the Future and New Generational Targets, in different geographical contexts through use of the Genius Loci Program. Use of Future Concept Lab ‘s permanent in-house research programs (the Paradigms of the Future, the Mindstyles Program and the international Observatory of Consum-Authors) was essential to the project, both for the comprehension of materials and internal data from Moleskine and for the integration of the research methodologies in the field (ethnographic observation and focus groups).

In 2012 FCL do Brasil conducted a research project for Fiat Brasil (CRM – Customer Relationship Marketing), on behalf of ISVOR, Universidade Corporativa Fiat Chrysler Latam. The research was based on the methodology MIND THE GAP®, and consisted of ethnographic observation and in-depth interviews with 4 generational nuclei in the city of Sao Paulo. With this project, Fiat hopes to strengthen its relationship with customers, creating services and actions geared specifically towards them and that involve the dealerships as well, fostering an empathetic relationship with each target.
A presentation of the research findings was central to an event put on by Fiat, which involved many Brazilian professionals from different fields (philosophers, journalists, media experts and brand managers) who joined together in a project capable of stimulating at all levels the Fiat managers who were present.

On the threshold of its fiftieth birthday, in 2011 Panorama felt the need to launch its regeneration in terms of content and formula, for its repositioning in the market. Therefore, a Lab was started, lasting three months in which Future Concept Lab analyzed in depth the cultural trends of the collective imaginary, the use of news and the formation of opinions, integrating its research assets with an indepth look into the publishing culture in different occasions. A desk research was been carried out using the socio-cultural scenarios (values) and trends (behaviours) selected from Future Concept Lab’s research tools (Mindstyles Program and Consum-authors). This research indicated the new paradigms, trends and concept that were more relevant to the project, in line with the reference generational nuclei. Following this stage the materials produced by Future Concept Lab were shared and discussed together with the team at Panorama and actions were undertaken to implement these findings in the renewal of the magazine.

Editoriale Campi (owner of Barbanera, since 1762 the most famous almanac of Italy), in 2010, approaching the 250th birthday of the original calendar, approached Future Concept Lab with a request for research and consultancy with the aim of defining as a priority the new strategic focus for the almanac and calendar, in line with the socio-cultural changes taking place.
The research carried out started with a Brand Check-up phase, able to define a new Brand Architecture, using the Mindstyles Program, supported by dialogues with the company management and analysis of the publishers historic materials. The following step was made up of a two-phase ad hoc research, through focus groups and individual in-depth interviews with the final customer, with the further aim of defining the new logo and graphics.
The research results were then used in the renewal of the brands graphics and contents and to define the outlines of a plan to develop the brand through new editorial paths (also linked to the Foundation Barbanera 1762), such as exhibitions, seminars and multimedia publishing services linked to training at their Spello headquarters. And we celebrated Barbanera’s 250th Birthday, participating in several events organized by the company: from Milan (video link) to Spello, passing through Foligno, where Barbanera was born.

The Petrobras Lab project was the first big test for the new office of FCL do Brasil. A research project and strategic consultancy was made for the corporate communications department of Petrobras – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A, one of the world’s leading energy companies.
The project foresaw an initial brand check-up phase, during which the characteristics of the Brazilian giant were analyzed through use of the MindStyles Program. Petrobras is a major player not only in the field of energy, but also within the cultural, social responsibility, sports, and sustainability arenas. Therefore, all the company’s projects (profit and non-profit) were interpreted and conceptualized, placing them in context with the international socio-cultural realm.
The Lab also included a phase of field research in four cities: Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo (Brazil), Bogotà (Colombia) and Santiago (Chile), in which the relationship between different generations of motorists and gas stations was addressed.
Life occasions and urban routines, mobility, and user experience in sales points: the Petrobras Lab was a complete urban retail observatory, which enabled the company to connect directly with its younger customers and to design services in line with their desires and their needs.
